Thoroughly Modern Millie
Associate Producer - Minskoff Theatre, NYC

Set in New York City in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dillmount from Kansas, who comes to New York in search of a new life for herself. Her grand plan is to find a job as a secretary for a wealthy man and then marry him. However, her plan goes completely awry. The owner of her dingy hotel kidnaps young girls to sell to the Far East, her wealthy boss is slow in proposing marriage and the man she actually falls in love with doesn't have a dime to his name... or so he tells her.

When asked to produce the one night only reunion concert for Thoroughly Modern Millie, the only answer in my mind was YES! The Entertainment CommunityActors Fund had all the connections and we were able to assemble not only the entire original Broadway cast, but the original Broadway orchestra as well. Sutton Foster led the team with such joy and grace that the rehearsal period for this show was like being in musical theatre heaven. To this day I remember sitting in Carroll Music for the sitz probe as Sutton sang the finale of Act 1 with the full orchestra for the first time. It was so beautiful and lush, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room.
