Hairspray at the Herberger Theatre Center in Phoenix, AZ


"Hairspray," the Tony Award-winning Broadway smash from 2002, already looks like a classic. It combines the subversive eccentricity of the original John Waters film - about a plus-size teen on a quest to desegregate a local TV dance show in the 1960s - with an infectious pop score packed with memorable melodies, from the soaring notes of the opening "Good Morning Baltimore" to the aerobic euphoria of the finale, "You Can't Stop the Beat."

La Cage wins the 25th Annual Broadway Cares Easter Bonnet Competition


Directed by Tony, the company of Broadway's La Cage aux Folles took the top prize for bonnet presentation, with a performance called "25 Years of Easter Bonnet," hosted by current co-star Christopher Sieber. He reminded the audience that the very first "Easter Bonnet" competition took place at the Palace Theatre, then home to the original production of La Cage. He then introduced members of the current revival who spoke the names of members of the original company who died of AIDS. They were then joined by members of the original 1983 company and the 2004 revival to sing "The Best of Times."

Gypsy of the Year 2010 - La Cage Aux Folles 7 December 2010


Tony directs “TRAnnie”, the La Cage Aux Folles Presentation for the 2010 Gypsy of the Year competition at the New Amsterdam Theatre starring Tony & Olivier Award winner Douglas Hodge. The annual benefit raised $3,776,720 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. It's the third highest amount in the 22-year history of Gypsy.
